About this spot
Japan Center’s indoor shopping areas offer food, gifts, and specialty shops within Japantown. Mall access hours are broader than individual shop hours. Peace Plaza construction affects the surrounding pedestrian routes, so use the posted detours to reach the malls.

Planning notes
💡
Check the particular shop or restaurant before visiting; an open mall does not mean every business is open.
1737 Post St, San Francisco, CA 94115
Peace Plaza remains under renovation as of September 2026. Follow posted pedestrian detours; a planned fall opening is not confirmation that it has reopened.
Benkyodo has closed for retirement; older guides recommending it are out of date.
