Outerlands

About This Spot
Farm-to-table at the edge of the world — literally steps from Ocean Beach. The wood-paneled dining room feels like a beach cabin. Famous dutch pancake for brunch, levain bread that people drive across the city for. No brunch reservations (first come, first served), but dinner reservations available. Dog-friendly outdoor seating. The kind of restaurant that makes you fall in love with the Outer Sunset.
What to Expect
Parent Tips
For brunch, arrive by 9:45 AM to get your name on the list — waits can be 45+ minutes by 11. The dutch pancake is incredible but takes 20 minutes to bake, so order it first. Kids love the levain bread with butter while they wait. Dinner is easier with reservations and the menu is more adventurous. The outdoor seats are great for wiggly kids.

Family Reviews
"The dutch pancake is worth the wait — my 5-year-old calls it 'the puffy pancake' and asks to come back every weekend. The wood cabin vibe is so cozy."
— Outer Sunset parent
"We do dinner here for date night but also bring the kids for Sunday brunch. They're genuinely welcoming to families, which you don't always get at farm-to-table spots."
— Local parent
"Showed up at 10:15 on a Saturday and waited an hour, but the levain bread and Ocean Beach view made it worth it. Now we know to arrive early."
