Billy Goat Hill
About This Spot
A short steep hike to one of SF's best hidden viewpoints. On clear days you can see downtown, Twin Peaks, and all the way to the Bay. A rope swing at the top makes the climb worth it for kids. Not a manicured park β it's wild, grassy, and feels like an adventure. The secret lookout that Noe Valley families keep to themselves.
What to Expect
Parent Tips
The trail is steep and uneven β not stroller-friendly at all. Wear shoes with good grip. The rope swing is fun but supervise closely. No facilities at the top, so bring water and snacks. Best for kids 4+ who can handle the climb. The views are the reward β bring a camera.

Family Reviews
"My 6-year-old calls this 'the adventure park.' The rope swing at the top and the views make him feel like he conquered a mountain."
β Noe Valley parent
"This is our go-to for burning off energy. The steep climb tires them out, the rope swing is the reward, and the views are unreal. Hidden gem."
β Local parent
"Not for the faint of heart with little ones β it's steep and wild. But my school-age kids think it's the coolest park in SF. No playground needed."
